Youth of Hope Conference 2015
Living Hope Church kick-started their Year of Harvest today as the Youth took the reins and ministered in song, dance and drama!
The day began with praise and worship as the congregation were ushered into the presence of God by a powerful ministration from PURE – Living Hope’s Youth Choir. After a refreshing time of rejoicing, the Youth delivered their first punch with a drama that carried a powerful message. As the play unfolded, we learned that a young woman was not giving her all to God. She was too tired for God, but not too tired for Facebook. However, by the divine intervention of the Lord Jesus, her life was changed when God opened her eyes to the reality of the end times. Having witnessed the dealings of ‘Prophet Josiah’ (a false prophet selling, supposedly, anointed handkerchiefs) and seeing those who love the club scene more than God, the young woman, played by Ruvimbo Nyakubaya, gave her all to Jesus and said yes to Him completely – not when it suited her, as tomorrow is not in our hands, but every day of her life.
The conference continued as special guest speaker Ben Jones, founder of the charity ‘Missional Generation’ – a charity with a passion to equip young people (click here for more information and to see how your youth can get involved) – brought a powerful message encouraging us to be co-labourers with God and to continually be used by Him every day; especially in the small things which one day lead to great things!
The youth took the day to another level as they continued to showcase the many talents God has invested in them; a solo ministration by Ruvimbo Nyakubaya of the song ‘Closer’ which touched the hearts of all who heard her beautiful voice, followed by a dance choreographed by Living Hope’s very own talent Tanya Nyakubaya. The dance portrayed the friction between the things of the world and the things of God, and the difficult situation it can leave us in when it comes to choosing a side. The final ministration of the day was led by the very talented and anointed group of ministers called ‘True Worshippers’ who led the congregation into worship in the spirit. After sealing the day’s events in prayer, all that was left to do was eat! The day came to a close with a beautiful time of fellowship and fun over some well cooked chicken and noodles.
Stay tuned to hear more about more events that will be hosted by Living Hope Church this year and continue to experience the great harvest of the Lord with us.
