You will meet many people in life, some of them will be vital to your success, and some of them may even contribute to your failure.
However, there is one person, only one person that you must not fail to meet in the course of your life: that person is Jesus Christ. We want you to meet Jesus for the following reasons:
The Blood of Jesus Cleanses You from All Unrighteousness
Your life on earth is limited. Perhaps you will live a hundred years, perhaps a little bit longer, perhaps a little bit less, or even much less than a hundred years. Then you will die. Everyone eventually dies.
However, contrary to what some people believe or think, death is not the final event. God will judge every human being according to what they did whilst they were alive and whether they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour or not. You cannot stand before God on the last day according to your own righteousness. No matter how much you tried to do what was right in your personal life, you would never be able to satisfy the high standards of God simply through your own personal effort.
Jesus lived and died on the cross so that by putting our faith in Him, we would be covered by His own righteousness and be able to stand before God the Father as righteous people because of the blood of Jesus which cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
The Name of Jesus Guarantees You Victory
Whether you are rich or poor, Black or white – no matter who you are, no matter your status or your gender – you are faced with the same issues of life that people before you faced and people after you will face: illnesses, crime, injustice, oppression, inequality, wickedness, poverty, ineffective government, treachery, greed, man’s inhumanity to man, relationship breakdown, wars, atrocities, natural disasters, death, etc.
Whilst most people seek to do good and many agencies try their best to make the world a peaceful place, even a happy place, these issues will never go away because there are inherent shortcomings in every human effort. Human beings, no matter how hard they try, are imperfect. Their best effort will always fall short of defeating evil and creating a crime-free and happy society.
So, whether you like it or not, you cannot escape the consequences of an imperfect world. You will have your own personal share of the adversities and disappointments of life. Of course it is possible for you to face them all without any reference to any faith or belief in God. However, with Jesus in your life you are best equipped to face the world and all its challenges, and you come out constantly on top because His Name is above all names, and in Him alone is absolute victory.
The Spirit of Jesus Empowers You
A lot of people want some extra influence, some extra power, some extra authority, something extra that they can use in order to succeed in life, overcome their failings, overcome opposition, and guide them to make the right choices and decisions.
Many people are aware that they can achieve better in life with extra help from some good source. Some, out of desperation and the wickedness of their ways, will turn to Satan, drugs and criminality to gain extra help.
Through Jesus, you have free access to God’s Holy Spirit. This is the power of God that acts on behalf of those who put their hope in Jesus. This power helps them to lead a godly life and also guides them through the challenges of daily living.
You cannot have God’s Holy Spirit except you believe in Jesus. In fact, you cannot call yourself a Christian unless God’s Holy Spirit is dwelling in you. He will empower you to serve God acceptably and assist you to achieve your maximum best despite all the odds that may be stacked against you.
What are you waiting for? Meet Jesus today. You will never regret it! |

How the First Disciples Met Jesus
John 1: 35-51
Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!" The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, "What do you seek?" They said to Him, "Rabbi" (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), "where are You staying?" He said to them, "Come and see." They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).
One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone).
The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me." Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote-Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!" Nathanael said to Him, "How do You know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!" Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig tree,' do you believe? You will see greater things than these." And He said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."
When you meet Jesus and you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, there will be a remarkable change in your life for good!
